Choosing between health plans
and physicians can be a difficult and confusing process.
But when evaluating your options, it's important to find
the plan benefit design, physicians and hospitals that will
best serve the needs of your entire family - especially if
you have children. After all, children are not miniature
adults. Pediatrics is a unique medical specialty and it is
important to make sure your children have access to CHOC.
Choosing A "Pediatric-Friendly" Plan
Be sure to ask the following questions during open enrollment:
- Does the health plan offer the option to select CHOC
for your children’s hospital provider?
- If you've selected a primary care physician, can that
physician refer you to CHOC as an option for hospitalization
or treatment if necessary?
- Does the medical group provide access to board-certified
pediatricians and pediatric sub-specialists?
Our user-friendly tool will help you explore your options,
define health plan terms, and locate primary care physicians
and medical groups affiliated with CHOC and CHOC at Mission.
